2014 York Mixed Triples, Champion of Champions

Copmanthorpe was the host for this years Champion of Champions competition, it brought together the Section 1 winners Shipton against the winners of Section 3, and Section 2 winners Church Fenton were up against the winners of Section 4 Wheldrake.
In the morning session Shipton got the better of Selby C and Church Fenton went down to Wheldrake.

The Final held in the afternoon was won by Shipton.

The 2015 Champion of champions Competition will be held at Church Fenton

2013 York Mixed Triples, Champion of Champions
This years Champion of Champions competition was held at Wigginton

Section 1 winners Boroughbridge played Stewart, the winners of Section 3 and Selby B who won Section 2 played Church Fenton A winners of Section 4

In the morning session Stewart beat Boroughbridge and Selby B beat Church Fenton A

Stewart were crowned Champion of Champions after beating Selby B in the final

This year the Final was held at Eggborough Bowling Club between Church Fenton and Cawood.

The final of the Fletchers Trophy was between North Duffield and Church Fenton A.
It was a tight game going down to the last end with North Duffield (with home advantage) running out winners by 2 shots
   
   

Work on the Clubhouse extension

   

10th May 2010

Work begins

The foundations are poured and footings laid

   

August

The end wall is knocked out and the bricks cleaned ready to re-use, and preparations for the floor begin

The first layer of concrete is poured

September

Bricks and blocks are on site ready to start building

   
October

The building is well under way and up to scaffold height

 

   

29th October

The roof trusses were delivered at 1.30pm and were in place by 3.30pm the same day

6th November

Brian and Carl lay the last bricks

   
   

11th November

The roof tiles are fitted

6th December

The windows and doors are fitted and the building is now watertight, the guttering and fall pipes are also fitted.

   

 

December 21st

A specialist firm is brought in to lay the final floor  

 
March

Plasterboard, plaster and coving are on site. Temporary wall is removed and boarding begins

The plastering is finished, coving fitted and decorating started

 

April

These photos were taken at 6pm on Monday 25th June, by 8am the following morning the water had drained away and we played a Selby League match on the Wednesday.
